Frequently Asked Questions
(In the process of being migrated)

1. Are all the pre-recording of Lessons in Video or Audio Format and what is the Quality of these recordings?

The recordings have been collated over time and are either in Video or Audio or Both formats. The quality of the Audio and Video will be on this basis depending on when the lessons were recorded.

2. How come the Video Recordings / Lessons or Audio are not in HD?

The method of collecting these recordings has been based on previous Live Lessons which were taught in a lower quality to minimise disruption. A previous attempt has been made to record in HD however both instructors and staff experience disruption which is not convenient for the Lessons.

3. The previous lessons are recorded now on the portal so why not record them in the first place in a higher quality and upload them?

The aim is for not just the instructor to teach but also for students to understand the subject. On most of the recorded lessons and any live lessons you will note the students and instructors are in discussion with each other and this is the discussion which has helped other students watching recording.

4. On previous Video / Audio Recordings why is or is there missing content?

Yes, the recordings have been collated over time from different organisations in which the instructors have taught in. We understand the missing content is due to technical issues on lessons. This should have minimum impact to your learning.

5. Why doesn't the institute just teach every module / lesson from the beginning?

The aim of the institute is to allow the instructors to focus and teach different subjects for which they have knowledge off. By repeating the modules this will take up time on previous modules and not allowing the instructors to teach other subjects. The aim in the future is for Senior students to teach these lessons from repeat.

7. On the flexible scholarship programme or module based learning how flexible is it?

The system is in process of being updated and the lessons which do not have a recording are being taught live and recorded once this is complete. The student manages there own learning and the flexible options is becoming the preferred option due to its flexibility. Benefits of the flexible / module based programme are. A The student can choose how they learn each module, for example sequentially (one after the other) or in parallel (together). B. The student can choose to do the exam at the end of each module or at the end of the Year (Exams are being updated to reflect this). C The student chooses the duration 3 years, 1 years or 5 years.
