Course Text: Forty Hadith on the End Times
Text Author: Shaykh Abdul Aziz al-Ghumari ,
Introduction
There are many Ahadith (narrations) on the topic of Yowm-ul-Qiyamah (Day of Judgement). Abu Musa Al-Ashari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “The hour shall not come until the Quran is dishonoured, Islam has become strange and until rancour spreads between people.” This module will study Hadith like this and others where the Prophet (saw) has spoken about the Day of Reckoning. The course looks at and analyses the 40 hadith mentioned in the text. The Shaykh looks at it from a hadith exegesis perspective, looking into the authenticity of the hadith. Thereafter delving deep into the meaning of phrases, words and how they relate to events that have occurred, are occurring and are yet to occur.
Note: There were only 11 hadith covered out of the 40 from the text taught. The remaining are to be taught at a later date inshaAllah. However, you will be assessed on these 11 hadith for the Isnaad of the book and the background of the author as explained by the lecturer.
