Build a Clear Foundation in Islamic Belief

Aqaid al-Nasafiyyah is one of the most enduring summaries of Sunni creed within the Maturidi tradition. Its concise structure gives students a framework for understanding what Muslims believe, how those beliefs are articulated, and how the major principles of theology relate to one another.

Through guided study of the text, students will explore key questions concerning divine attributes, revelation, prophecy, free will and human action, faith, and the unseen. The course is designed to give students a grounded theological foundation that can support more advanced study in Islamic thought and the classical scholarly tradition.
